Like all HiGuitarsUK instruments this Diddley Bow was handcrafted from quality materials in Nidderdale, North Yorkshire, UK.

Construction is based around a broom stick neck bonded to a lightweight sapele guitar like body. Front and side neck positional markers are 2mm plastic dots in conventional guitar positions.

Although primarily designed for strap playing, lap playing is also possible.

The scale length is a standard 25.5" (648mm) and the instrument is approx' 850mm long.

An all steel bridge uses through body stringing and a high mass stainless steel saddle to optimize sustain. This is adjustable for both string height and intonation.

A 25mm wide handmade brass nut provides solid sustain at the headstock end.

Pickup: Quality Artec lipstick style single coil, with height adjustment.

String: D'Addario 0.042 gauge, tuned to G. Though other string gauges and tunings can be used.

Weight: Just 1kg.

The instrument is sealed with a multi coat satin oil finish.

There is a 10mm hole behind the headstick to facilitate hanging on a wall.
