This HiGuitarsUK electric bouzouki is handcrafted from quality materials and components in Nidderdale, North Yorkshire.

The combination of a maple capped mahogany body and mahogany/walnut neck balanced with 2 hot HiGuitarsUK pickups helps to create a great sounding instrument. While additional coil-tap switches, which tap each pickup individually, help to create a broad pallet of tones. The vintage influenced styling, gloss & satin finish and quality chromed hardware combine to give a classy vintage yet modern vibe.

This instrument has a moveable hyedua and nickel bridge with a string spacing of 37.5mm between the outermost strings.

Body: 2 piece Central American mahogany. Open grain satin lacquer finish to the back and sides with a high gloss top.

Neck: 3-piece for long term stability. Mahogany with an American walnut centre, finished by working in and sanding back multiple coats of Danish oil. 2-way adjustable truss rod. Satin lacquered headstock.

Fretboard: Hyedua with high grade 7mm abalone shell fretboard dots. Slightly oversize 2.5mm side dots (for better visibility). Fretted with hard American fretwire for longer fret life.

Electrics: In standard mode the pickups work as humbuckers across the 3 switch positions. Engage a coil-tap switch and the connected pickup enters single coil mode, with a thinner brighter sound.

Strings: This instrument is octave strung using a Light Gauge 10-36 Irish Bouzouki set, though other gauges could be used. The individual gauges of this set are: 1st - .010" plain (x2), 2nd - .015" plain (x2), 3rd - .012" plain & .026" nickel wound, 4th - .016" plain & .036" nickel wound.

For basic protection, this instrument is a good fit into a Stagg STB-10 UE3 padded gig bag (not included).
