Mahogany solid body and neck construction with 15” scale length. Satin Vintage Red.

This ‘Raindrop’ model has an extra wide body, for improved balance and component spacing. The fretboard width at the nut is 36.5mm, for ample finger room. The bridge is carved from solid brass with a wide, acoustic-like, string spacing of 39.5mm, G to A . Most electric ukes have a narrower electric guitar like string spacing.

Unlike most HiGuitarsUK instruments, this one has a thin open-grain satin finish to the body, while the usual multi-layer oil finish has been applied to the neck.

The combination of a mahogany body and neck combined with a HiGuitars mini humbucker pickup helps to create a great sounding instrument. But there’s also the additional versatility of switchable humbucking and single-coil type sounds. The vintage influenced styling, satin finish and quality chromed hardware combine to give a classy vintage yet modern look.

The 15" (381mm) scale length will work well with the top 4 strings from a set of D'Addario EXL115W electric guitar 11s with a wound 3rd, tuned G-C-E-A with a low G. The gauges used are also easily individually purchasable online via eBay, etc.

Body & Neck: Single piece mahogany thru-neck with 2 lightweight mahogany wings. Adjustment free carbon fibre neck rod, for long term stability.

Fretboard: Hyedua with high grade 7mm white abalone shell fretboard dots. Slightly oversize 2.5mm side dots (for better visibility). Fretted with high grade hard American fretwire for longer fret life.

Electrics: Mini humbucker, volume and tone controls, coil tap switch
